Ultrasound, also known as sonography or a sonogram, is a non-invasive imaging method that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce images of internal organs and vessels within your body. The images can provide valuable information for diagnosing and treating a variety of diseases and conditions. Ultrasound is safe and does not utilize radiation to produce the image.
